Trip to Cherating

Hi Guys! it's been months since my last post, well, it's been a boring year, interesting things only happen to unfortunate peoples, we live out our lives normally, nothing happens....

Anyway, 2 weeks ago, yea, 2 weeks, internet down, can't update until today, exactly 2 weeks later, oh and Master got his iPad 2! unfortunately Apple touch screens and trackpads only react to certain types of surfaces excluding bird feet... he got that 3 weeks ago... Now for the story..

So we started on a sunny first day of the mid-year holiday, on a sunny Saturday morning, well, it rained early... but that was before we left, then we had breakfast at a nearby coffee shop, we go back home and change, prepare everything, such as FEEDING THE FISH, REFILLING FOOD AND WATER FOR THE MICE, GOING TO THE TOILET, PICKING CLOTHES, WASHING HANDS, etc.

Then we head of for a 3 hour journey across the country from west to east coast, on our way, we saw some..... well we saw nothing much, except cows crossing roads.... why, because Master and I were addicted to iPad!!! and Dad had his eyes on the road and Mama had her ears on the phone with the others.... yea, there were others, 24 others that is... it's like a reunion! that's because it is.... After an hour, we stop for a toilet break somewhere near Karak highway.... Then that's pretty much the last time we stop until we finally arrived at The Legend Resort Cherating, where Dad made a U turn after passing by a kilometre, because he found a place to have lunch, then he made a U turn, to go to the hotel to check in, yea, WE WERE FIRST!!! how great was that, we get all the keys and we go up to the room and put our stuffs, unfortunately the other rooms of that floor were taken, so we had to move to one of the sea view rooms, yes, of course there are extra charges... Then came the Yap family, who met us at the corridor, then we met the Chan family at the lobby getting their luggage out, then we wait for them to unpack, then we head of for lunch, which Dad already decided where to eat.

So the humans went for lunch, and Zoe and I were sitting in the car playing with the iPad, Master made some claw gloves for us which the surface that iPad screens react to. They had Ch****n, Fish, Vegetables, etc... all very spicy... and delicious... well, to humans obviously... And then we chat for a little while, then head back to the hotel where we saw the Soong family and the Lim family, and the Liaw family, gave them the keys to their rooms, then next destination, THE BEACH!!!!

We ran to the beach with joy and happiness, full of life and excitement, then dive into the sand and have fun! Master, Joshua and Ryan were like primitive men chasing each other collecting sticks and throwing then into the water, while they're the only boys there.... the girls went to volleyball, kite flying etc.

The boys were playing with mud balls while Zoe and I were playing Angry Birds in the room until we literally become Angry Birds... The boys also went for a dive in the sea, then they saw a yellow sponge!!! could that be SPONGEBOB?????

Then after an hour or so, the kids head to the pool, went for a swim, talk for a while play some games, head back up to the room, take a bath and get ready to go for dinner. We had dinner at a restaurant somewhere near a beach, then Master, Joshua, Ryan, Zoe and I were in the car watching Inkheart, while the girls were drawing on the windows with the fog... disturbing us.... then we made it half of the movie until we go back, but we didn't finish the movie...

We head back to the room, have a rest, the others were in the Yap family's room because they got internet connection on the balcony.... Yea, rooms do not have wifi, only the lobby has... but the iPad can't browse, the signal was weak... Joshua was in his room doing homework, while Ryan decides to sleep early, these two boys don't have fun, all they do is sleep and be scared... Then Dad brought the girls to the beach for a nightwalk, and Master also joined them. They saw many things that were washed to the shore, so muddy, so peaceful, so much invertebrates sitting motionless in mud puddles in the sand. Crab holes and beads of sand, we even saw some crabs running sideways along the damp beach quickly going back to their holes to lay eggs... Then they went back up, washed their legs and feet, and head back up to their rooms and call it a day, had some sleep and wake up in the next morning....

The next morning, Master's phone suddenly rang, we thought it was an alarm, and Master quickly panically press the reject button and went to the toilet, then Sara and Carolyn knocked on our door, and asked us to go for a walk with them, then realised that alarm was actually a missed call from Sara.... Then Master showered and decide to join them for a morning walk at the beach, we saw the sunrise, and some other things... then we head back to our rooms and wait for the others to wake up, then we go for breakfast at the cafe at the lobby next to the swimming pool. After the breakfast, the kids went to the playground to play, then they go to the room and watch TV and ''socialise'', then we go back down to the poolside, there we gathered to decide where to go, we decide to go to the turtle sanctuary, well, only the kids go, we saw many turtles of all shapes, colours and sizes, all swimming around in their little ponds....

Then we want to buy some coconuts sold by the roadside stalls.... we drove all the way upstate to Terengganu, well, the border was only a few kilometres from the hotel, then drove back down to Pahang, surveying for a place we can settle for lunch later, then we go back to the hotel, and the boys went for a swim, while the girls went for a bike ride... Oh yea, Dad and Uncle Lim went to play golf at Awana Kijal Resort in Terengganu, they left early in the morning like six-thirty a.m. or so..

Then we go for lunch at the famous Hai Peng Kopitiam at Kemaman, Terengganu, where they sell their famous special Nasi Lemak (Fatty Rice), Nasi Dagang (Trader's Rice), their Toast, very special, you have gotta try the toast, you go there, you have to try out the toast, and homemade coffee made fresh by the owner of the restaurant.

And the parents went to search for the famous Nasi Dagang (Trader's Rice), but.... unfortunately, they didn't open, and the kids were back in the hotel watching TV and playing games on their fancy phones.... then the parents came back and it's time..... time to GO TO THE BEACH!!!! they played on the beach for a while, then the girls went on the banana boat ride, and the Master, Ryan and Uncle Simon wait for their turn to go for the Airhead boat, where they sat down in their little seats and the boat pulled them on the water for 15 minutes, and they got so wet when the water splashed on them... Joshua didn't go for any of those rides.... he's scared of Jellyfishes.... and then Master too went for the banana boat ride with some parents and some other kids, oh yea, when the girls went for it, they flipped twice, suspended at the middle of the water and they wasted 5 minutes for the boat to turn back and climb back on.... it didn't flip at all the second time....

Then they went for a swim at the swimming pool, and then they played beach soccer on the mini soccer field they set up for us, and they also played beach volleyball earlier..

After that, we head back to the room and get ready to go for dinner! It was a half an hour drive to Kuantan town, where they eat at the famous Pak Su Restaurant, where they have famous delicious seafood.... There was the stuffed crab and some other famous delicious dishes... then they head down to the beach aside the restaurant, where they saw crabs crawling up the shore, running around mud, mating, laying eggs, and running around like cowards... then there were also stars in the sky... how nice, we never get to see this much stars in the city... then some idiot did a certain inappropriate thing to a certain person in our group........ IT's just a kid... with problems with ''shiny things''.... then it's back to the hotel, and gather to a room again only to use the internet... go back to our rooms and it's goodnight....

The next morning, we had breakfast together, and go back to the room, get ready pack our stuffs, and then the kids go for a snorkelling trip some 7 or 8 kilometres off the beach of the resort... Master says there were a lot of sea lice biting and stinging them.. they went for two stops, there we're also a lot of sea urchins laying on the rocks and sea bed, but not to worry, they wore life jackets.. so they're feet are no where near the sea bed or any rocks... but that didn't keep them from the painful microscopic stings of sea lice.... then they went back to the resort after an hour or so... pack their stuffs, and gather at a room to have lunch, this time we successfully bought the Nasi Dagang, and they enjoyed it much... After lunch, Master, Joshua and Ryan went for a complimentary ride on the ATV!!! yea, Master's bike have some problems with the gear chains... they keep falling off and the instructor keeps putting it back on... it's just the three of them, they each got their own bike! kids and the toys these days huh...

At last, it's check out time and leave the resort and stop by at the same restaurant where we had dinner at the first night... and it's journey's end.... the parting of ways and head back home.....
For the first time I actually get to meet Master's life long friends... ahh.... it was fun, better than Australia!
