Christmas 2011

Well, I guess right now isn't too late to say Merry Christmas!! Well, seriously, Merry Christmas everyone.. And hope you all had a Merry Christmas yesterday. If you'd like to share some of your Christmas thoughts, feel free to share them by commenting on this post, down in the comment section below.

So anyway, this Christmas, we celebrated it with our cousins and the family, we went to a place called Gold Coast Resort, Morib, it's a beach resort, and it was a fun place, unfortunately, since the sea is actually the Straits of Malacca, where most ports and oil processing plants are built, so it's not really that clean to swim in, and also, during the day, the tide can reach really far, leaving the beach as a muddy desert. And during the evening, the tide can reach fairly close to the Water Theme Park, yes, there's a water theme park there, something like Sunway Lagoon and Tiara Beach Resort, but that water theme park, compared to Sunway and Tiara, is very small and very crowded, everywhere you go, there's people walking around and water splashing from the water slides..

Oh yea, and you need a wrist pass to enter the theme park, complimentary entrance for hotel guests only. So anyway, I was upstairs in the room, looking down seven stories and saw Master and Kai Min queuing up for one of the water slides. D'oh, how happy they were, while the girls are just walking around in circles.

After that, they came back up, took a bath, Oh, and there's this huge, well, not really, quite small actually, anyway, err... Bathtub, with Jacuzzi, a shower head and two headrests. So, Master and Kai Min were in the bathroom, filling up the bathtub, chatting, fooling around with the water supply, and so on...........

Then we went to the other rooms and had something to eat, watching some TV, then Dad asked Master to go to this bar on a pier, The Pier, and ordered a bucket of Carlsberg with 5 bottles in it, and, well.. it was for 6 persons. We watched as the sun sets, and the skies grow darker and the waves go by as the tide rises. It was really relaxing and fun. And, Oh, here's some pictures!

After finishing those beers, we head off for dinner at a nearby restaurant, just about five hundred meters from the resort, just outside it. So they had some supper, since it's already 9 p.m. when the food arrived. I mean... They were starving!! Even the food for the children's table came earlier than those for the adults table! By the time the last dish for the children's table, the first dish for the adults just came... And also, for that spare time, Master went walking around the restaurant, which is located by the beach, we went to the beach, looked at the stars, saw some hermit crabs, and walked around.

And after dinner, we went back to the hotel, and celebrated our Christmas! We opened presents, well, obviously, opened a bottle of champagne, watched some TV, hang around, and went back to our own rooms to get some sleep, and watch some TV, well, err... Master and Kai Zhi were the only ones awake that time to watch TV 'till that late, watching the VGA Video Game Awards 2011 on 8TV, until sometime around 2 a.m.. And yes, Zoe and I were still awake, I was watching that too.... And MW3 got the Best Shooter Game of the Year!! How cool is that!!??

Ehhemm.. sorry about the nerd talk, anyway, I was sayin' Master and Kai Zhi stayed up 'till 2 a.m., to watch that show........

The next morning, we woke up, and had breakfast, some went to the lobby to have a breakfast buffet, which was claimed to not have that much food.... while the others, including us, ate in the room, Aunt Jenny brought a multi-purpose cooker, fried some eggs, some sausages, made some omelette, and cooked some noodles.

Then, they went down to the water park, had some fun for a while, and it's back to the room, shower, pack up our stuffs, ate some snacks, and check out, and it's off back home for the new year!

And that's pretty much it! Thank you all very much and hope you liked this post, those of you who went, hope you enjoyed, hope everyone had a Merry Christmas and wish you all happy new year, and good luck for 2012!!
